last night i dreamt that i had built a place to live underwater using only cardboard boxes (you can build anything with cardboard) for some friends and i to enjoy. eventually, i realized the whole place was going to cave in on itself, so i kicked everyone out and decided to keep swimming and building and taking pictures of it all until i died. i finished the film in my underwater disposable, swam to the surface, waved goodbye and threw the floating camera to my friends just as they were happily swimming away. i swam back down to my underwater lair and started to paint a piece of cardboard in watercolor that read “humans can survive underwater,” so scuba divers would find it.
